The European Scientific Center “Biomarkers“ (ESCBM) annually organizes conferences, symposiums, internships, dedicated to the modern aspects of the study of biological markers in the field of basic and clinical medicine, pharmacy, as well as molecular and fundamental biology. The scientific interest of our center is development and study of new molecular biochemical and functional markers that play the defined role in pathogenesis, diagnosis, prognosis, as well as assessing the monitoring of the treatment effectiveness in the various systems and organs diseases.

The priority direction of the Center's work is research of molecular mechanisms of diseases pathogenesis, study of the structure and functions of peptides, nucleic acids, nucleotides, lipids and other biologically active components of body cells.

The annual conferences, which are held by the ESCBM, are aimed at the quick and systematic publication of scientific reports, abstracts, articles, reviews, highlighting the main developments in the field of biological markers, short presentations of the results of new experimental and clinical studies, that use biological markers, also new principles and methods for studying biological markers are proposed (for more details about current conferences, see the "CONFERENCES" section).

The main task of the Research center is to conduct competitions of scientific works of researchers, to foster the exchange of knowledge and techniques and the implementation of new techniques throughout European countries. The  awardees work will be highlighted through an increased publication activity and a dedicated event during the ESCBM events, possibility to use grant for participation in the other European conferences.  More details are in the section "GRANTS & EDUCATION".

Our scientific mentors and members of the organizing committees of the conferences are scientists and professors from leading universities and scientific centers of Europe and the USA.

The ESCBM follows the European Commission strategy – European Research Area (ERA), which is aimed on the creation of an open space for knowledge and growth which involves as EU Members, as Eastern Partnership countries, Central Asia, Russia, and Asia.
